Costco Tire Service Center

I lost a day of my life that I will never get back due to the Costco Tire Service Center located at 1445 West Elliot Road in Tempe, Arizona. I had ordered tires online and the website said it would take 10 – 14 days for my tires to be available. I placed the order in the evening, after Costco was closed, so I was surprised to be notified the next morning that my tires were ready to be installed. On the day I went to have the tires installed, I arrived at 9:30 a.m. and was told that it would take 1.5 – 2 hours and they would call me when it was done (by 11:30 a.m.). I used that time to do some shopping in the Costco Warehouse. I took my sweet time shopping since I had up to two hours to wait. I placed the non-perishable items in my cart and after 1.5 hours, I collected the perishable grocer

Took my car in at 4pm for a rotation and balance. It was done at about 5pm. But, they (Mark D) never called me telling me it was done, so I waited here for 3 hours for nothing. This is not the first time this has happened either.

By far the worst tire center experience I have ever had. I had an appointment and was told it would be quick when I dropped off my car. I stayed in the tire center and two hours later they finally attended to my car. Then they told me I had to replace all the lug nuts without giving any reason, which is ridiculous. If one, two, or even a few needed replacement, that would be reasonable, but blindly asking to replace all 20 lug nuts is completely absurd. A lot of customers were clearly unhappy with the wait time and lack of communication. Zero stars.

Went to warranty a battery that was purchased last year (1/24) due to multiple failures to start over a 2-3 week period. Interstate battery 24F/700/36, has died in both parking lots and off road without warning. Truck is a 2020 Toyota Tacoma which is carefully maintained and has shown no additional issues. I was told that in order to warranty the battery, as per new policy, the battery would have to be removed from the vehicle and brought forth to the desk to be tested - I keep my 10mm socket with me, no problem. Brought the battery into the store, had it tested, and the results showed that it was at the bottom end of acceptable. "Good - Recharge. Car may fail to start in conditions below 18 degrees F." Overall good experience. Good pricing on 4 new tires, delivered to the store within 2 days. Scheduled an appt for 4pm and was told when arriving they were about about 90min behind schedule. When I got the car back there was the wheel lube ALL OVER my tires, found out from the manager the next day this is not normal and unacceptable. gave me an excuse to wash her though.
