Covenant Living of Golden Valley Skilled Care and Rehabilitation

My husband was in transitional care here for a month. I was very impressed with the level of care he received. All very professional. The therapists were great, so upbeat and encouraging. Carri, the social worker worked hard on our behalf, too. It was a difficult time for both of us. But I had no worries that he wasn't getting the best care under the circumstances. Thanks to everyone for their kindness and concern!

My dad passed away...do not send them here....JULIE.... I HAVE EMAILED 3 TIMES WITH NO RESPONSE... YOU DO NOT CARE... WE HAVE A LAWYER! Do NOT send anyone you care about here. The staff here seem tired and burnt out. Most the staff are rude and they don't care about your loved one. We found bruises on my dad and the nurse staff them played off, we found multiple pills on the floor or just left on a table in his room many times. The MD said my dad had a wart on his finger when it was scab of blood. I asked if they are treating it as my dad said it hurts. She was like you don't treat warts. My dad would push the buttons and he would sit for hours .. he sat1.5 hours with a dirty diaper because no one came. Carrie the social worker is blunt, no care in her tone, almost rude. My 94 year young mother was here for 2 1/2 moths as she recovered from a fall. Aubrey O'Quinn and Grace Irish were intergal in picking up on changes in mom's medical changes, I credit them both in saving mom's life. Physical and Occupational therapies were professional and nudged her toward recovery and back to her independent self. I had many conversations with Kelly. Kelly listened to my concerns and addressed them. The staff was always friendly.

The staff at Covenant Living were very caring and thoughtful in taking care of both our parents during their stays. The nurses and supervisors/managers were especially attentive to the changing needs of our parents and used their depth of experience to help advise us on the best care. The quality of staff was extremely important to us in choosing a rehab/long term care facility - Covnenant Living has that nailed!

Please do not send your loved ones here. My family is not demanding or difficult to accommodate, yet the care my grandmother received was unacceptable. She experienced multiple falls because she was not provided the basic assistance she needed for essential tasks such as getting to meals or using the bathroom. The most recent incident resulted in her passing out and requiring paramedic intervention. She will not be returning after this past fall. She expressed that she felt extremely uncomfortable throughout her stay, and the staff handled her in a rough and dismissive manner. This is heartbreaking, especially because she is kind, polite, and never causes any issues for anyone. No family should have to worry about their loved one’s safety or dignity in a place that is supposed to care for
