Dollar Car Rental - Saginaw - Freeland Mbs International Airport

It's an avis service center as it has been for years. Google can't get it right...

Charged random $400 fee for "outside washing". After three days of tying to get ahold of them, they sent me an email saying it was a valid charge because the car smelled like smoke. Wierd because I don't smoke. Avoid this place. Update: After filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. I was finally contacting by Thrifty. I was told the car smelled of cannabis and they would not refund the charge. I work in cannabis and had visited a facility the day of the return. The funny part is that the whole area smells like beet sugar plant and the car smelled musty and gross when I rented it. I asked for an explanation of what they had to do that justified a $400 charge, i didn't recieve a response. I know from experience that all they would need is to clean the car normal and it would not

Worst customer service experience I've had in years. If you didn't know Dollar thrifty and Hertz are all one in the same. The company merged during COVID-19. Can't get a human on the phone and if you do they don't know what is going on and send you to the next person that don't know.

Unfortunately I could not give them a ZERO rating, but if I could I would have. We reserved a one-way rental at the MBS airport location two days prior to our pick-up date. When we arrived we were told they had "no cars available" and there was "nothing they could do". When asked why we hadn't been notified prior to our arrival, which would have allowed us to make alternate plans, we were told it was "managements fault" because they had gotten rid of the fleet and "nearby locations were refusing to release any vehicles". If they are unable to provide vehicle for customers with reservations, why do they even offer service at this location? NEVER AGAIN will we EVER use Dollar Car Rental, nor would we EVER recommend Dollar Car Rental to anyone. HORRIBLE car rental service! ABSOLUTELY HORRIBL

Worst car rental agency ever. Got a car with bald tires on the front, the passenger side tire was bald and cracking. They were not adequately staffed at either the pickup or return locations. Don't use tolls either - they charged over 90 dollars in admin costs for 5 dollars in tolls. Awful
