Downeast Toyota Rental

Downeast Rental department has shown me how unprofessional and how poorly they treat their customers this week. My personal vehicle was being worked on through the month of December, which resulted in my having to rent a vehicle. The rental was paid for by insurance without issue. When I returned the rental yesterday, I not only cleaned the interior thoroughly, but I also washed the exterior as a common courtesy. I also filled the gas tank (as requested as part of the rental agreement.) But of course, upon driving it back to the rental dealership… I used some gas to get from point A to B. This morning I see a charge on my banking app from Downeast Rental. A $41 fee because they claimed I left the vehicle with low fuel. Just left Downeast Toyota in Brewer in a 2025 Highlander Hybrid with only 2,000 miles on it. This place is wonderful. Super clean, super professional, great staff. Taylor Craig was PHENOMENAL! When you come here, ask for Taylor! He goes above and beyond for his clients. You wont be disappointed.

Back in the day, I rented many vehicles @ Downeast Toyota Rental. As I remember, they always treated me fairly, even when there were problems that beyond anyone's control. I found myself back in the area recently and rented a car here, I will update with the experience soon.

Fantastic service and their prices beat the pants off of the national rental agencies at the airport. Can't recommend them enough!

Derrick was professional and efficient. He even helped me with the taking out the garbage. Highly recommend this rental company.
