Nathan and his son are lifesavers! I had been having trouble with my car stalling out on me and had taken it to Firestone and paid $132 only to be told to get an oil change and that nothing was wrong. After it stalled again on the highway I took it here first thing Monday morning. Explained my situation and left the car with them. Nathan was kind enough to offer me a ride back home instead of having to uber. A few hours later I get told that the issue was with my battery and it was a shock that my car hadn’t caught fire yet! They got it fixed and back to normal all for less than what I paid for the diagnostic at Firestone! This is by far the best shop in San Marcos! Will be returning for any future car repairs!

Im in San Marcos for work conference and my truck's check engine light turned on and truck started shaking. I'm 2-1/2 hours from home and I saw this shop off the freeway. Nathan, the shop owner and his son were very nice. He diagnosed my truck and took care of the issue the same day. Honest, hardworking men. I was not over charged just bc i'm a girl and know nothing about trucks. You don't find shops like this anymore. Thank you so much Ellisons.

This is the only mechanic I will ever go to. Ellison has always been reliable and straightforward and I have been coming here for years. He will never screw you over like other mechanics I have unfortunately experienced. I’ve had many leaks fixed and other various issues repaired here that other mechanics missed or made worse. He is thorough and honestly the best mechanic. 10/10 Highly recommend!

This place was absolutely amazing, and a total life saver too! I had gotten an estimate for my truck from another mechanic and they completely over charged me and were super unhelpful. I got recommended to come here and I'm very glad that I did, they were kind and super quick and explained to me exactly what was done. I will definitely be returning for all of my auto needs.

Nathan was incredibly kind, accommodating, and informative. He was quick to replace my break pads even after a personal family emergency. Would go to him and his team again for future car services. Highly recommend Ellison’s Automotive if you’re in the San Marcos area!
