Update to Rudy's response. Rudy, you know what you said is not the whole story. You sent me somewhere else because you couldn't figure it out. The dealership suggested the part so I put it in. I paid you a lot for the diagnostics which fixed nothing. Then even more for plugging in the part I missed. No favors. I already acknowledged it's probably frustrating trying to fix novice DIY mistakes. That all really is beside the point, isn't it? Whatever the details of the fix, you berating me for an hour over two visits was not ok. You could double down and keep deflecting the blame for your actions or you could own that part of it instead. That is what the public will really see here. I tried to do some work on my car to save money and when it got beyond what I could do I took it to Family A

Great Service, They were very helpful, explained everything they were doing and very reasonable with there rates. I had 2 cars that they were able to squeeze in and get done pretty fast. I will definitely go back there.

TL;DR. I paid a big amount for a diagnostic and was given a large estimate to fix my emissions system, when the real fix was the broken gas cap and solved same day elsewhere. I have receipts too. I don’t want to have a back and forth with the owners since they apparently like to argue. And based on the memes they have hung up on the wall, they don’t like customers who ask questions or argue back. This is just my experience here. I took in my 14 year old vehicle here, with a check engine light and a code saying it was an emissions issue. I paid ~$160 for a diagnostic test, they get back to me and say there is a very specific issue with the emissions and they will have to do a heavy lift to fix it, and the problem is exacerbated by the age of the car. They did a great job fixing my car! They are always so honest and don't pressure you to get other things done that don't need to be fixed. I appreciate their honesty.

Really honest people! My brakes were making a terrible sound so I assumed I needed new pads. Rudy and his team let me know that the brakes were still good and just had some rust around the brakes that they cleaned up and charged me nothing. They could have ripped me off with new brake pads when I didn't need them. And honestly, it was such a blessing to not need new brake pads right now. I will absolutely be coming back here as our new mechanic!! Thankful for honest business and I feel happy to support them with future mechanic needs.
