Firestone Complete Auto Care

I found a nail in my tire’s groove that was slowly leaking air and went in to get it repaired or replaced. I want to say that May at the front desk was very kind and understanding but her service was the only good part of that experience. I will never go to a Firestone again, and will be warning people away. I was told the tire could not be repaired and as such I would need to buy two more tires ‘despite the good tread’ of my own due to my car being an AWD. I was quoted over $450 before tax and told I could try and apply for their credit card to help pay for it. Are you serious? Again, May was incredibly understanding when I refused service and even put air in the tire so I could safely leave. I went next door to Town Fair Tire and got the tire repaired for $13. I had a nail in my tire repaired at Town Fair Tire a few months ago for 10 bucks but they were about to close for the day so I went over to Firestone. I had a screw in the back tire and a nail in the front. They told me the screw was in a bad spot and could not be patched and the nail could not be patched because the tires were too worn out. I just had the whole care inspected a few months ago and the tires were at “half life”, meaning they still had some life left. They tried to sell me 4 new tires and wipers for over $1,000. I picked up the car and went to a small auto shop and the mechanic said the screw was in a great spot to patch it and the nail was not even puncturing the tire ( just a half nail stuck in the tread) so no need for a patch at all. From the first moment they touched my car, it has never driven the same since. Extremely disappointed after giving them four different chances to fix the issue that they caused. Every appointment it was apparently a different problem, all to fix one problem that was not an issue until i let them touch my car. The first appointment should have told me they did not pay attention when the employees didn't realize my car was AWD (clearly states it on the back of my car and this is obviously important when it comes to tires). i had a nail in my tire and needed new ones anyways so i got them replaced. my car's steering was feeling off and i never felt that before so i addressed it with them. Second appointment i'm told its not balanced. Interesting when they JUST replaced them, but i got it done

The woman that closed me out was very nice. Other than that it was all done hill. Manager spoke to his other employee like trash. Dropped off at 8am for a 9am appointment to get 4 tires just mounted and balanced. Didn’t get out of there until just now, 12:38pm. Should have known since I took my same vehicle there to get an inspection last year and the guy told me I have to remove my driver window tint because any tint is illegal in RI on front windows. Not true. Go to TownFair next door instead.
