Frank's Automotive

Frank's Automotive was recommended to me after dealing with being screwed over twice from a different mechanic shop. The employees were so kind and empathetic to my situation and were able to get me in and out in a day. They are honest people that aren't trying to squeeze money out of you. Their diagnostic included a list of what needs immediate attention, what needs to be fixed down the road and everything that's good with your car. It was so reassuring to have this all laid out for me. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for straight forward answers. I will definitely be coming back in the future!

After carefully researching local shops for install of an HKS Racing Exhaust for my Nissan GT-R, and being told "no" by a few shops, I decided to visit Franks Automotive Inc. in San Marcos. The personnel greeted me with a friendly smile and were happy to do the install for my car. The work was performed flawlessly and completed in a timely manner. The price was reasonable. I met the owner and his sons who were very helpful and cordial. While this shop accepts automotive work on most types of vehicles; these guys are "car" guys who know how particular other car guys can be about their own sports cars and muscle cars. While in their shop my car was handled carefully which I respected very much. I will definitely return in the future if the need for car repair or maintenance occurs.

In August I purchased a use car for my daughter to take with her to TXST. In September the fuel pump went out and we took it to Frank's to be repaired. They did the repair and returned the car to us with an overwhelming smell of gasoline in the cabin of the car. The car had no odor prior to going to Frank's. Within days the "new" fuel pump failed and we had to take it back in. Frank replaced it and did an ozone treatment assuring us that would fix the smell. When my daughter came home over Christmas break the vehicle still smelled awful. I called Frank's and they said to bring it back. The said they they would replace some rings on the new pump. We did and it still smells overwhelmingly of gasoline. I spoke with Frank and asked for my repair costs of over $2700 to be refunded. T

This was a good experience for me at Franks Automotive. I will definitely be returning in the near future to get van repairs finished. Mr. John was very professional, and explained everything very well. GAR 5 stars…………..

John was the one taking care of my vehicle, and he went above and beyond the entire time. He handled all the communication with my warranty company, explained every step of the process clearly, and kept me updated throughout what ended up being a weeks-long repair. The work they did was top-notch — my car honestly feels better than when I first bought it. Smooth, tight, and running perfectly.
