Avoid this facility at all costs. My experience dealing with the general manager was an unprofessional and manipulative nightmare that stretched my lifetime workmanship claim with USAA over eight months. I initiated the claim in March 2025 for my late father's vehicle, which had severe paint peeling. The general manager's "inspection" was a primary reason for the extensive delay. He looked at the car from over six feet away for a mere second and immediately declared the two half-dollar-sized spots on the rear bumper were rock chips, without a close-up examination or even asking me to remove the protective tape to see the damage properly. Several years ago I had my car repaired by Gerber while I was living in Havelock after it was hit parked. Fairly simple repairs of a small dent and scrapes. The repair job came out ok in my opinion, paint match was good, no overspray anywhere but I wasn’t extremely keen on the fact I could see they filled the dent in the fender with body filler but I have a tendency to nit pick so I let it go. Fast forward to this past year (6 years post repair) I notice that where the dent was repaired the body filler is beginning to fail. After calling Gerber in Havelock they stated I need to bring it to another Gerber collision for inspection and to file a claim. My wife's Jeep was in an accident, and we had it sent to the Gerber facility here town. I checked on its progress regularly. The left shock was damaged in the accident, and I asked for the Right shock to be replaced also. When I went to pick up her Jeep, I had a $403.00 dollar charge for the shock. I felt that was a little much and just let it go for the moment, so I could pick up my wife's Jeep. I went to the dealership for a unrelated question and asked for them to pull up the shock and the price. The price of the shock was $78.00 out the door. When I called the shop, the person I spoke with informed both me and the parts manager, that we didn't know what we were talking about. I informed him that I verified the part number off the shock they installed and the one the dealership was show
