I took my car in to have my brakes looked at for a second opinion since the dealership I usually go to for oil changes told me that they noticed my car needed extra maintenance done that would cost around $1k. Roger looked at my car and let me know that there was nothing that needed to be fixed and there was just normal wear and tear that wasn’t even affecting my brake function at all. I was very thankful that Roger gave me a real answer for the sake of being honest instead of taking advantage of a business opportunity. Excellent and honest business and customer service. I will be going to Gill’s for all of my maintenance from now on!

Gills is the best auto shop in town. They never tried to talk you into getting work done that you don't need. The only issue is once people become a customer they never leave and like myself they unfortunately recommend other people who never leave. So sometimes you may take a week or two to get an appointment to get a job done.

Oil change, brake jobs, diagnosing an old old car's problems? They've taken care of my cars for years, and always been honest, considerate, fair, and very helpful. They definitely charge for their work, but they know what they're doing and are good people. Total recommendation here.

Great reviews. Unfortunately it was an awful experience for me! After almost two months of my car not being repaired, I ended up picking my car up and taking it to another shop that serviced me in a very timely manner.

Want to know what kind of shop Gil’s Auto Repair is? It’s the kind of shop; that when you are visiting VALPO from North Carolina and the undercarriage shield on your car is loose and flapping; Roger works you into their busy day; puts it up on the rack and then replaces the missing screws and clips at no charge. Yup. True story. Today. I wish we DID live in VALPO just to bring our cars here all the time. You Hoosiers are lucky!!!
