THE FOLKS AT HAMILTON’S ARE LIFESAVERS! Coming from 2 hours away on a road trip, my Prius decided to pop its famous “red triangle of death,” alongside the check engine and multiple other lights on the dash. I found myself stuck in Novato with a car that was suddenly in a state of “get this to a mechanic ASAP.” Diagnosed as P0A93 at the local O’Reilly’s, failed inverter pump. It being Saturday, I expected little to be open. Hamilton’s was not only open, but had the original part that I needed, had availability to fix it same-day, and quoted market rate for the fix. No hassle, no upselling, I brought my vehicle in and they had it ready in barely an hour and a half! I was thoroughly impressed with the quick and fair-priced service. I made an appointment for an oil change and even though I came 1 hour earlier than my appointment, they took care of me right away. All the staff were super friendly. They informed me that I need to do a tire rotation and even gave me a one-time discount as a struggling student. I greatly appreciate them and would highly recommend their shop. It’s honest work.

I didn't have the most satisfying experience in my work with Hamilton's Automotive. I had to get an IID installed in my Tesla and they're one of the only shops which can do it locally in the Bay Area. The cost of the install seemed to feel like they’re taking advantage of the customer and charging a rate for labor that’s otherwise at a premium. The cost of the removal seems to be the same. When I had issues arise, I not only had to bring it in, I was charged for a "calibration". When I described that I did follow the instructions to use it and it was giving me a "Violation" they seemed to think that there must be something wrong with how I was using the device since they did 4 other Teslas with this device and only one person else had an issue...That said, I've got it installed elsewhere
