We were a little worried about not going with a mainstream rental company, but I’m so glad we went with Hawaiian Rent a Car. They were amazing to work with, gave us local recommendations prior to arrival, and stocked us up with all the beach necessities. We used the cooler daily! Tony was great and our pick up from the airport was seamless! The car was in great condition and very clean. Would definitely recommend to anyone!

I can’t add much to the great things others have already said about the price, service, and extras - but I can confirm it all. Pickup and return were fast and smooth. The 5 minute drive to their office gives you a chance to learn a few things and realize you’ve got a friend on the island. The food trucks right next to the office are exceptional and varied - we returned whenever we could during our stay. Going with Hawaiian Rent a Car next time is a no-brainer.

Rent a car from Hawaiian Rent A Car: great service, competitive rates, all small SUVs. Great communication from them prior to our arrival and the days before drop off, including the representative who picked us up at the airport. Tony picked us up after our luggage finally came out, texting us a photo of the car that he was driving and we'd be renting and drove us to their lot across the street from Costco. We initaled some forms, took pictures of our credit card and ID, loaded us up with some fruit and nuts in a cooler (Maui Gold pineapple and macadamia nuts) a beach umbrella and two snorkel masks (and offered beach chairs as well!), and a copy of Maui Revealed and Fishes of Hawaii. No restrictions as to any roads to not drive on, no refilling the tank to absolutely full. Return was simpl

This is the best car rental place. We just finished our 10 day vaca and was just so awesome to have beach chairs and cooler (with fresh fruit!) and snorkel all included with the car rental. The car was in great condition, no issues. Thank you so much for making this vaca soo much easier. We were picked up, signed papers and off we went. Oh, and the guide book that Ivan provided, well I used it everyday and was great help on our trip to Hana and just for searching beaches. And it was just as easy to drop off car at the airport. Drama free. If you are searching for a great rental car experience, this is the place. Just great service and great price.

Hawaiian Rent a Car and Ivan are my trusted car rental place each time I visit Maui over the past few years. The process is made extremely easy from pick-up to drop-off with no long waits for shuttles etc. The car I rented was perfect for what I needed and the team was great at accommodating my request for beach chair, surfboard rack and straps.
