Hertz Car Rental - Burlingame Putnam - 1815 Old Bayshore Highway

The front desk lady is the worst. 1) she prioritized her personal phone call while she was talking to me 2) she doesn't know about car and gave me a wrong car and didn't want to admit she was wrong. They clearly don't know about CAR! I ordered a midsize sedan and they gave me a compact SUV (official website states it's a SUV and you can clearly see it's a compact SUV) the front desk lady insisted it's a SEDAN and gave me an attitude. I'm going to write an official complaint to the company but I want people to know how horrible this store is. I will never rent from this place.

Easy and fast. A great cheaper alternative to rent a car other than the airport. We had a prior reservation, it took only 5 minutes to do the paperworks after we reached there. The only drawback is, it closes at 5pm. So if you are returning your vehicle after hours, you have to go to the airport one. The car was nice and clean.

Rented a car from them because my car was in the shop. They say they’re pet friendly but when I returned the car with a little bit of hair (as pictured), they charged me $125 for a cleaning fee. And the customer service was extremely slow and nonchalant (they did not seem like they wanted to help me at all)

Worst experience while I was travelling bay area. The store was closed early (3pm) without any notice. The operator said car is standbying and they will provide 2 days of discount as the store was closed for 2 days. However, the clerk said there's no available car when I arrived. (They were counter offering either gigantic pick-up truck or Maserati with 300$ extra cash per day) I had to waste 130dolallars for Uber 😅

This location always has the lowest rate in the area. AVOID RENTING AT THE AIRPORT. Have been renting with Hertz for a long time and happy with their service. I had a reservation of minivan at this place. They got the car ready earlier than I expected. By the time I arrived here, everything was ready to go. Can’t remember his name, but the asian guy was really friendly. Just needed to show my ID, and they gave me a walkthrough about the car. The car was sparkling clean and it’s very new (Only had 2000 miles)! Would definitely be renting here again if I’m in the area next time. Fyi, I have the President’s Circle status with Hertz.
