Hertz Car Rental - Mahopac - Lp Automotive HLE

Reserved a 7 seat SUV for 9 AM. The Ding Dong at the desk showed up an hour late to tell me he didn't have the car there...or Danbury...or Patterson. Did nothing to help us except make the phone call we could have made ourselves in half the time, or at 9:15 AM if he had showed up on time. We still had to call the other Hertz locations within an hour drive on our own just to hear the same thing from them anyway. It is plainly unacceptable that Hertz would even let us reserve a car that seems to have never existed. The lack of any meaningful effort to make this right by either a Hertz representative or the corporate office is more than enough to ensure I will never be using their service again.

Complete clowns. 1 star because there’s no zero star option. Always shows up late for work and doesn’t have a clue what he’s doing. I returned the car at 9:15 am (earlier than I had picked it up) and had to drop off the keys because there was no one there. Then they charged me a late return fee because they showed up late for work! Total clowns!

I highly do NOT recommend this car rental service, They will try to take money out of your card as much as they can and use any excuse to take your money, do not trust this company! I rented a car for $105.15 And also payed for the insurance But they ended up charging me $214 plus $305 for security deposit that I still HAVE NOT received back. I called to see why they charged me so much and they said they had to take an extra $60 because of gas but it was at the same level I got the car at. Then they just made a bunch of other excuses to charge me even more. I told them to check the car before I left but they said just leave it there and they’ll check it when they have time so I left and now I have all these withdrawals from this company taking out more money from my card.

Really bad!!! Location was wrong. Phone number didn't exist. Piece of paper at original address gave new location and phone number. Called number. Got an attitude from person who answered and told me that they are not open on Sunday. When informed that it said open 10 AM to 2 PM., got more of an attitude. I received an email saying that I had a reservation but I didn't really have one.

I called 3 weeks before moving to change the pickup time where they had confirmed to do so and though I requested an email confirmation with the new changes she had guaranteed everything was set up and that they did not send an email. Come day of pickup I realized they did not change the pickup time and we had to wait for over an hour to see if something was available. The person there also guaranteed they would cancel the other reservation no charges due to the inconvenience and it was not so, they charged the cancellation fee anyways. No one answers when I call to fix this issue and though they have a voicemail they never call back.
