Hertz Car Rental - Murfreesboro - Northwest Broad Street

Hertz is always good to me. The staff is very friendly compared to the ones they used to have a few years ago do glad they updated their staffing. The cars are reliable and I love that I have options available to me when I rent instead of just any car. I will continue to rent from hertz in the future.

Upon approaching the vehicle, I had to clean trash out of the vehicle before I even sat inside. Furthermore, a HORRIBLE stench of marijuana reeked heavily in the vehicle and it took the entirety of my usage with the vehicle to get that smell out. Completely disgusting and embarrassing putting my family in this SUV! The windows and windshield were covered in debris and bugs so much that I couldn’t really see out the windshield. I had to take the vehicle myself to a car wash to wash it just so I can have a clean rental to use. Completely horrible experience and the crew there just shrugged it off! I didn’t even get a full tank of gas! Needless to say I returned the vehicle in better condition than I got it. So whoever rents the white 2025 Buick Enclave at Hertz Murfreesboro, you’re welcome

We rented a car from Hertz for a family trip and were given a Tesla. Partway through our drive, the headlights completely stopped working, leaving us stranded at night with a baby. We couldn’t even drive back home because it was unsafe and illegal to drive without headlights. Hertz’s “solution”? They towed the car first and didn’t bring us a replacement car until the next morning. Because of this, we were forced to pay out of pocket for a hotel. Customer service told us the rental location could reimburse us, but that was a lie — no one wanted to take responsibility. Every department kept passing the blame, and nobody cared that we were stuck with an infant due to their poorly maintained vehicle. Showed up to pick up my car that was reserved on time, was told that they did not have a car or any that were similar. Kaden Stone (The employee at the desk) did absolutely nothing to help me and also told me I would have to call to get it canceled because he would charge me a cancellation fee. When I asked for them to produce whatever policy it was that they could not cancel them, he of course did not. I went down the street and had a car within 15 minutes with Enterprise. Do not, I repeat, do not use Hertz rental car. Especially this one on broad Street because their employees will not help you.

If I could give zero Stars I absolutely would. We had to rent a car from Hertz because of an accident we were in, and I called a week ahead of time telling them we needed an eight-passenger vehicle because that is our family size. We were told that they would have something for us. I was even asked the morning I came to get the rental vehicle, what size vehicle I needed and they said okay. The man who handed me the keys gave me the keys to a seven-passenger van. He said they didn't have anything available and that they would figure something out.
