I see all kinds of great reviews and I did not have this experience. I was having issues with paint primer on a Saturday and called Hovis to see if they had primer in stock and to let the employees know we would be walking in right at close. Was trying to be courteous knowing Hovis closed at 3 on Saturday. Was told I was being disrespectful coming in right before they closed. So told the guy on the phone I would take my business elsewhere. I guess if you didn’t want to help customers during your open hours you should be closed. So spending my money elsewhere.

I hate giving Hovis a 1 star review. We needed some primer real bad here on a Saturday. Just had enough time to get over there before close. Called. Made sure they had what we needed. Told him we’d be there right before close. Got told they lock the doors at 3 and it’d be “disprespectful” to show up right before close. Literally called to have it pulled so we just had to pay for it. Told him they either wanted our several hundred dollar business or not. Ended up just telling him we’ll take our business elsewhere. I know it’s a Saturday and people want to go home. But I’m sorry, don’t turn down hundreds of dollars in revenue over a possibility of having to stay a minute late. We’re being respectful and taking business elsewhere.

Go somewhere else for oil and filter. Unfamiliar brands, only sold by the quart. Paid $55 for 5 quarts of oil. At Walmart the same 5 quarts cost $30

Bob knows what he's doing, gets you the correct parts, can describe what you need to do, mixes the car paint perfectly and gets you the correct primers and thinners to go with it.

These guys know parts. Friendly,knowledgeable service. The best parts men in the area hands down.
