J & B Transmissions and Auto Repair

I recently brought my 1972 Ford F100 to J & B Transmission and Auto Repair after noticing some irregularities in how the truck was shifting at lower speeds. Jim and Brian were absolutely fantastic. After a quick test drive, they diagnosed the issue right away — the transmission vacuum was connected to the wrong port on the carburetor. It had been hooked up to the port vacuum instead of the manifold vacuum. They corrected the issue on the spot, and I immediately noticed a major improvement in how the truck drove. To top it off, they did all of this at no charge! Their knowledge, honesty, and commitment to doing right by their customers truly set them apart. J & B Transmission and Auto Repair is hands down the best transmission shop in New Jersey. Highly recommended!

Long overdue review (nearly a year, to be exact) after I realized I never published. J&B Auto Repair was a life saver last year and will be my go-to shop for all repair needs in the future (so far, so good though due to the excellent job they did). After being quoted $10k for a transmission repair from another shop, I went to J&B to get another view and see if a full replacement was truly needed (the initial quote). J&B diagnosed the real issue and provided a fix for a tenth of the previous quote. On top of that they identified a different issue that would have lead to significant issues and safety concerns. Again, they were able to fix this at an extremely fair price and were friendly and professional the entire time. This is the type of shop I wish kids/teens - if interested in a care

Called and got me in same day. Jim was friendly, and straight to the point. Brought in my 2011 Jetta sounding noisy on idle, left with it humming. Quick service and fair pricing. 5/5 l will be going back again. Thank you J&B

Called and had same day service under an hour, Brian checked my old Acura which was making a rattling sound on the engine. He was quick to find the issue, which appeared to be a loose shield which he tightened. The car was perfect after with out making the rattling sound. He also noticed the AC might need to be checked later down the line but not a priority. I would definitely recommend Brian service and return.

J & B helped fix a transmission issue with my 2012 Ford Focus. They saved me thousands of dollars by being fair and honest. J & B was fantastic and did great work on my car. I took my car to the local Ford dealership and they wanted over $5K. J & B was able to do this at such a more reasonable cost and for the work that actually needed to happen. They are great, honest, and transparent. I highly recommend J & B.
