Knox Garage

I purchased a used Toro mower from Knox Garage in Ankeny, IA via Facebook Marketplace. The listing stated it was serviced, with a sharpened blade and fresh oil. When I arrived, the first mower he showed me started smoking. He then sold me another one that appeared okay. After getting it home, I discovered it had not been serviced at all. The mower is in poor condition, and when I contacted the seller to request a refund, I was told I was “harassing” him. He refused to take any responsibility and quickly removed the listing. I'm now filing formal complaints with the Iowa Attorney General, BBB, and pursuing Small Claims. Please be cautious — not everyone seems to have this experience, but some of us are clearly being misled.
