La Car Porte

I’m only giving 1star because it won’t let me give a ZERO star . I regret ever pulling into their driveway. By far the worst auto experience I’ve ever had ! Hands down ! I’m actually embarrassed for them. The sad part is .. I’m moved to Laporte from deer park and was hoping to find a good mechanic shop. It’s sad because I can walk there from my new home, I literally live right behind their shop and this was an opportunity to do good business. Every one customer lost is a loss of revenue. Damn shame ! “ ILL NEVER RETURN ! “

My BF’s air conditioner went out on his truck. He took it to another shop he had previously used & they quoted him almost $3k, claiming multiple parts that needed to be replaced. I told him to bring it to La Car Porte for a second opinion & Michael informed him that only one part needed to be replaced and saved my BF almost $2k. - If you want HONEST, good work — Take your vehicle to La Car Porte!

These guys are a bunch of crooks had a problem with an oil pressure sensor. They sold me an oil pump, which I don’t even believe they even changed which in fact, all they had to do was replace the oil pressure sensor, which I did few days later at my house was very upset that they charged me $1500 for a job that could’ve just been fixed with a $20 part felt like I was taking advantage of and will never ever do business there again and advise everybody else they aren’t who they say they are

You can always depend on these guys for a good job done at a fair price. I've had several jobs taken care of here across several different vehicles. Ranging from AC work, to an engine swap and all kinds of little things. They have always done a great job and stood by their work. They don't try to bend you over when it comes to pricing, they are a business so they do have to make some money but they're not trying to buy a yacht with your money either. I live in friendswood now and still use these guys when at all possible. The only issue that sometimes comes up is sometimes it takes a little longer than I'd like. But if that's the only problem you're having at a mechanic shop then you're doing pretty well in my opinion.
