A long time ago I got absolutely Fed up of being handed dealership service department pricing for basic repairs, so I gave these folks a call. Their out the door estimate was less than half of what the dealership quoted me. Ever since that day, I make sure to take our cars to these folks for service. They are friendly and do a great job, which is all any of us can ask. Give them a try!

I’ve had plenty of work done on a couple of cars over several years at Midas Barrington…with Tim back a ways and nowadays with Joel…. Consistent fair deals and explanations of details to educate Me on the ins and outs of using OEM parts etc….not breaking the bank! Maintaining a car rather than getting new cars with a trusted and fair auto shop(Midas Barrington)..has allowed Me to keep cars for a long time and be able to continue to drive them all over the lower 48 with confidence and piece of mind. I visited the Barrington office on Monday due to my muffler on my Toyota van came off. I spoke with Joel who was great to work with he explained he had to order my muffler and would take 3 days. I received a call from Joel on Thursday and took my van in and within two hours the work was done. Joel and his staff kept me up to date on everything that they had done or at a later date may need to be done. I will say Joel and his staff went above and beyond on everything they did and I would recommend Joel and his staff to anyone that needs work done. Thank you for the great work you did.

Don’t take your car here for an oil change. They will mismanage your car and cause permanent issues. Once they cause the extra damage to your car they will insist on you taking it back in so they can charge you even more. After their mismanagement of our vehicle, they requested we take it in an extra 3 times. They charged us extra and after the 3rd time of being there they wanted us to come in a 4th time. This was supposed to be a routine maintenance and it turned into a nightmare.

I came in for an oil change and yes I was over due but when I leave the oil pressure light goes off so they make me take it back have it for almost a day get a new sensor come back to have it put it and the lights still going off… almost 500$ later. They wanted me to bring it back again for more testing I said no I’ll go to a real mechanic. Complete waste of money and time.
