The owner/manager was very rude and misleading. I took my car there because a friend of mine said he took all his cars there for the last 15 years and never had any issues. I needed them to diagnose a check engine light and SMOG check my vehicle so I could renew the plates which had recently expired because I rarely drive due to a work accident. It's a 2013 Cadillac ATS. He gave me the diagnosis and a quote of $875 to replace a hose going to the secondary air intake. He said the part was $525 and the labor was around $350 give it take a few bucks. I asked him if I could call him back and searched for the part online. I have been a loyal customer of this Midas since 2011. I recently had my truck serviced there after the "check engine" light came on. A few days later, I returned because my gas pedal broke. During this visit, I requested several additional services, including the replacement of the two engine mounts. The bill came to $2,454.00, more than I expected, but the worst part was that the engine was running so roughly that I could barely hear the radio. I felt Midas had ripped me off. I asked a friend, a retired auto mechanic, to review Midas's work, and he concluded that Midas had only replaced one of the two engine mounts for which I was charged.
