Pep Boys Auto Service & Tires

I live in Nashville and had a family emergency that required me to come to Murfreesboro yesterday evening. I guess I ran over something and it caused a huge hole in my tire. I was able to call pep boys and speak with Tony and he was beyond professional and kind and —it was an hour before closing time! He asked if I felt safe to drive it and could I get it there so that they could take a look at it. Dakota, the mechanic that was working was very patient listening to my story and luckily, they had the one size tire that I needed in stock. I had such a hard day yesterday and I couldn’t be more grateful for their kindness, efficiency and professionalism. I plan to return to get my back brake pads put on. I would most certainly recommend them to anyone in Murfreesboro or anyone passing through.

Horrible service. I got my air compressor replaced here and less than two years my Freon is leaking for the third time. They will schedule you appointments at times the main person to look at your car is out and you lose time at work because of it. 1st time I was scheduled to the one Shelbyville hwy, the took my car to the Franklin rd location to get it fixed because the ac guy was out which I was okay with, inconvenient, but whatever. Was an expensive fix around $1200. Then less than a year later my ac was hot again. Then they charged me $300 something to get connector fixed which fine cool. Then the third time they scheduled me again with no ac guy and I drove across town and took time out of work. It's been a big headache. Super unhappy. I regret getting my air conditioning fixed here.

Doing this review based on having potential service vs.actual. I'd went to the website of the Pep Boys location on Franklin Road looking for battery replacement. Found the link for battery service where you could search for the correct battery for your car, as well as the price. After finding 2 choices that would work for my car (per the website results), I decided to contact them to see if I could just come in instead of an appointment. The first question I asked was if they had a battery in stock for my car. Provided the info, and to my (not)surprise, I was given the higher priced battery of 279.00 vs the lower price also shown of 168.00, on sale, with regular price of 239. I then asked if the 279 was the only option. Was informed that there might be another one, but it would likely b

These guy's do good work and are honest. I've never been pressured or ever been attempted to be upsold by anyone here. Unlike Firestone! I only go to Pep Boys now and recommend them to everyone. The store manager Tony is a great guy and true professional. Thank y'all for always doing right by me.

Felipe was an excellent host. He made my experience enjoyable and educated me on some of the facts of my car and how I can prolong it's life span.
