It's been a while since I came here, but Rod's service still stands out in my mind. The first time I took a vehicle to him, the issue ended up being related to the spark plugs. He quickly diagnosed and fixed it and didn't even charge me for it. The second time I took a vehicle to Rod, we had already spent over $2,000 on diagnostic fees and repairs that didn't fix the issue at a different shop my husband has taken our truck to. We finally gave up on that shop and went back to Rod, and once again he quickly and CORRECTLY diagnosed the issue, which ended up being a simple and not expensive repair. This guy is truly a gem. Also, he keeps his shop clean and tidy, which to me says something about how his brain works as well as his professionalism.

Rod is a great mechanic! He is very knowledgeable and friendly. He was able to get the issues our vehicle was having fixed really fast and for a great price! I had to call Rod to reschedule our appointment because of a family emergency and he was so understanding. We really appreciated his kindness in that moment and his genuine concern for our family. You really don't see that often anymore. Rod definitely has lifetime customers in us now.

Let me start by saying that I never leave reviews. I'm either hard to impress or lazy. I had taken my bronco to a local shop were it sat for almost 3 months before I found Rod. They couldn't figure out the issue. I called Rod and had my vehicle at his shop in about a week. The first thing I noticed is that his shop is clean, and by clean, I mean you could eat off the floor. You can tell he is meticulous which was a good sign. Not only did he fix the starting problem, but he fixed quite a few things that he came across. I ended up making a long list for him and he fixed everything from a rear power window to electrical issues, etc. This guy is a gem, a true mechanic, which doesn't exist anymore. If you are reading this and trying to decide if you should take your car to Rod, look no further

Rod's Automotive is a great local place to bring your vehicle for repairs or advice. Rod is polite, honest and to the point. He is a real wonder with classic cars and trucks. He has fair prices and gives sound advice. The only thing I would mention is to schedule your appointment for your service and repairs, so that he can get to you immediately. It sounds funny, but every time someone tells me they are from or moving to Republic, I tell them about Rod's Automotive, because it is so hard to find good work, fair prices and an courtesy.
