Rt. 5 Auto Sales & Service Center

I am a 20+ year customer of Rt5 Auto and I have never had any issues with them what so ever. I always find them to be personable, knowledgeable and straight forward. I believe they are legitimately concerned about their customers safety and try to accommodate every situation as best they can. Before retiring my only complaint would have been they were closed on weekends. In hindsight I respect their choice to value their worker's personal lives and help with work/ home balance. I am not a mechanic so at times when a repair seems a little on the high side, speaking with others who go to larger dealerships and heading what they pay, I consider myself lucky. My sister started me off going to Route 5 for my vehicle maintenance. Ken and Holly are the best, and take good care of me whenever I need to stop in for help. Like low tire pressure, or my rear window washer needs a refill and I never did that! I recently had to get new brakes to pass inspection. So glad I am now driving with good brakes! I had no clue! Excellent service. I noticed once that they put a cap on one of my valve stems that was missing one after an oil change. They never mentioned it or charged me for it. I have other examples of how well I've been treated there but I'll leave it at that. I don't make a habit of reviewing places but I had to make an exception here.

I came in for brake pads on my BMW, was not told I also needed rotors. They just completed the job without notification. I would’ve liked a follow up on the matter to have a choice. I do not recommend this place. Couple weeks later I now need back brake pads and went to Sal’s on Putnam Pike in Johnston. I was informed that I only need pads and sensors. My rotors are good. I do not find Rt. 5 Auto to be trustworthy. I found a new mechanic and will continue using their services.
