I just had S&S change out my transmission on my 2014 Toyota tundra 5.7 4x4. Huge job and they got a 2 day job done in one day. Totally happy with how everything went. Honest and great communication. I felt very comfortable with them working on my vehicle. A+ shop. 👍

Had them recently install a used differential for me on my 2016 Ford Taurus, They told me car was all set and that's where the trouble began. Immediately after I pulled out, the AWD light came on (they either didn't yell test drive it afterwards or were being scummy and lied). Then driving it home th alignment in the rear is so out of wack the car was driving sideways (either diff was installed incorrectly or they just slapped it back together without lining up alignment marks on control arms or toe links) So after 960 dollars, I have a completely unusable vehicle, drives down the road almost sideways, suspension is all screwed up, AWD light is on due to failure to tell me ford needs to reprogram a module, and they dodged my calls. Brought in my 2022 Subaru WRX for issues with a slipping clutch. The folks at S and S came recommended by a friend of mine and I’m satisfied with the work they performed on my vehicle. UPDATE: I just had to pay $300 for a garage to fix a coolant line that leaked out the transmission fluid, which according to Google, any mechanic with integrity would have replaced when replacing a transmission. This just goes on and on.*I dropped off my vehicle to have a transmission installed. They used my car to transport the transmission to their shop in New London to have it installed there, without my permission, causing damage to my vehicle. The day I picked the vehicle up, it was almost closing time, and on my drive home I could smell exhaust in the car, which I hadn’t before. The next morning driving from Waterford to Groton, my check engine light came on so I went straight there. It was a catalytic converter code which I had never had. They said it’s because I have high mileage.
