Mazda Sill-Terhar Service was an exhausting and deeply frustrating experience. To start, our 2017 Mazda CX-9 has failed to meet the reliability standards we previously associated with Mazda. Over the years, the vehicle has been in the shop repeatedly for check engine lights, long diagnostic processes, engine disassembly, and ongoing brake issues. Unfortunately, Mazda Sill-Terhar Service significantly worsened an already negative ownership experience. Our most recent visit related to an extended warranty repair for a cracked cylinder head, which was handled extremely poorly. The lack of communication, repeated mistakes, and disregard for safety were unacceptable. After having the car for six weeks, they promised it would be ready by November 26. Purchased a used vehicle from them recently. A separate review is necessary for the sales team, they are wonderful. Can't say the same for the service side. I'm not sure if it was just low staffing or just a poor cleaning job. But they had 4 and a half days to detail and clean the car, but the detailing job they did was 2 stars AT BEST. See photos to see what I'm talking about. When I called to ask them if the car was ready or not, they told me it would be done at 10:45am. When we arrived, we were told it might be another 15-20 minutes, which is totally fine. But we actually ended up waiting an hour and fifteen minutes before the car was done, with little communication, which made me late to my job. Fair Pricing, But Poor Attention to Detailing After the Sale. The car buying process itself was relatively smooth—negotiations felt fair and straightforward, which was a big plus. However, the post-sale experience left a lot to be desired. After signing the paperwork, we went to pick up our new $40K vehicle, only to find that the detailing was done carelessly. There was sticker residue left behind, along with noticeable circular scratches—likely from a dirty rag used repeatedly throughout the day. To make matters worse, this all happened at 7 PM when the dealership was closing, leaving us with no real resolution and a disappointing drive home. Bought my truck yesterday (see pics) and Sam and Fred were absolutely terrific! Answered all questions that I had (trust me I had a ton) and they didn't miss a beat. No hidden charges/fees, upfront about everything from financing to warranty. I was hesitant going to a dealership before this experience but now I won't go anywhere else. Thanks guys!!!!!

I took my car to the service department unannounced two days after Christmas for issues with my screen and door rattles. Despite not having an appointment, the service department took my car right in and went above and beyond to service my car. They also provided a loaner vehicle for the weekend. The staff were patient, concerned, friendly, and diligent in their approach to diagnosing the issues with the car. Communication was great the whole time. All of the issues with the car were easily resolved. I know dealers can get a bad rap, but if every service department operated like this one, we’d all commend them on their professionalism and job well done. Thank you, Sill-TerHar!
