SIXT Rent A Car Dulles Airport

I’ve had two rentals so far with SIXT at Dulles Airport (IAD), and both experiences were absolutely amazing! My first rental was on August 27, 2025, and it was my very first time booking with SIXT. I had originally scheduled my pickup for 5:30 PM but called to see if I could move it up to 4:30 PM and they made it happen with no problem at all. When I arrived, I was greeted by Senetra, who made the whole process smooth, friendly, and fast. She answered all my questions patiently and had me on my way in under 10 minutes with the keys to a brand-new 2026 BMW X1 (only 5 miles on it!). The car itself was a dream to drive, powerful, fuel-efficient, and incredibly fun to drive. I averaged 35.2 MPG on the highway on cruise, which is amazing for an SUV. Even though staff member Mohamed was nice and professional, I’m deeply disappointed by the outcome of my experience. The car I was given was unsafe to drive (missing oil cap, oil spilled in the engine, and dangerously uneven tire pressures). Despite clear proof, SIXT refused to take responsibility and only offered a $25 “gesture.” I will never rent from them again and strongly advise others to avoid this company.

I’ve rented from Sixt three times so far—Volvo S90, BMW X6, and BMW X5—and each experience has been excellent. All the vehicles were in brand-new condition and extremely well maintained. The pickup and drop-off process was smooth and hassle-free, and the driving experience with each car was outstanding. The staff were very friendly, professional, and helpful throughout. I highly recommend renting with Sixt and will definitely choose them again in the future.

Very disturbing place here . First of all the car that I was supposed to get wasn’t even there and had to wait too long for a free upgrade , ok that’s whatever the car was very dirty with sault all around ok whatever again , after driving the car warned for low tire pressure on 2 sides and thankfully I had picture of it on the dashboard meaning these guys don’t even double check the tire pressure before handing it out to the customer when we all take highways . So I payed my own money in a freezing weather to fill up the pressure Lastly they told me a discount will be applied admitting their fault and after the final bill I realized there was no discount applied at all So I guess they lied to me as a result I opened a complain case with the SIXT main branch and going to report to BBB if n

I've been a loyal Hertz customer for a long time, but this time I chose Sixt. The reason was the excellent selection of vehicles, including luxury cars. I recently drove a BMW X5. While the reviews below seem to vary, my experience has been very satisfying. I was very satisfied with everything: airport access, convenient shuttle service, branch location, cleanliness, friendly staff, variety of vehicle models, vehicle condition and performance, and price. I will definitely use Sixt again and highly recommend it to my friends and acquaintances.
