Southpoint Honda Service

Although they advertise walk-in service for oil changes, don't expect express service. The service advisor said due to time of day around lunch on Saturday, it would be a 2-to-3-hour minimum wait, and they don't schedule techs for walk-ins. This is unlike my experience at Crossroads Infiniti of Apex where they had an express service bay and would have you in and out in 45 minutes or less. So now I have made an appointment for next Saturday and I expect I will still have to wait over an hour. My last appointment for oil change, tire rotation, and state inspection at this service department, still took two hours even with an appointment. I will definitely be reconsidering purchasing my next vehicle from this dealership and having to deal with this service department. Didn't offer an apology

Good service, bad business. I have a 2023 CR-V (my first Honda) purchased from this dealer. I now know that if I snooze, I definitely lose at this place. The last visit was the last drop. First, despite having an oil change package, they added it to the bill anyway. Second, they constantly recommend extras totaling almost $ 1,000. Sure, I can say just No (and did so), but I am not an expert. All I know is that this is a 2023 model, for God's sake. Third, they added a $35 ad hoc "shop charge" or something like this because of "cleaning the place"...I had no idea what it was and vehemently opposed it. The staff dropped it, but again I had to be alert (do not go to this place without your morning coffee). Fourth, they charge a 2% fee for credit card payments (vs. debit cards). I said, "What?

I am a longtime service client at Southpoint Honda. Today I was surprised with a 2% credit card fee, I understand this is a new policy there. After spending several thousand dollars I don't think this fee is appropriate.

The cost for maintenance and repairs here are more expensive than other locations. I’ve been here a couple of times where my bill is pushing close to $1000 and some over that amount. They wouldn’t which service is more of a priority. Very long wait times and just recently they are charging 3% fee if you use a credit card. Imagine having expensive repairs plus absorbing that 3%. Ridiculous!

Two days after I left, all the oil was gone from my car. Somehow, they failed to put the oil drain plug back properly. When I removed the under cover, I found the plug completely unscrewed and rattling around. I’m lucky I was home when it leaked.
