Despite glossy brochures and websites, all assisted living and memory care facilities are only as good as their staff. For families considering this choice, staffing is an almost impossible thing to evaluate ahead of time. The current team at the Legacy is outstanding. Beth, Dan, Chris, Gabby, Neisha, Lindsay, Kelly, Mary, Sarah-- the list of excellent people working at the top of their game goes on and on. You feel it when you walk in the door. You experience it when you are there at different times of the day or night. This is a quality operation with a very humane scale. Our parents are known and truly cared for. We are so happy we made this choice.

Yall had the opportunity to reach out and talk to me directly, which yall didn't do. At that time and I would have welcomed it. Yall didn't say a single thing to me. Just kicked me out the door. I don't know why it is my responsibility to contact yall now after how I was treated. Open communication only works when it is used.💞 The staff here bully other staff and do things that puts residents at risk. Then blamed the staff that go to help those residents for making them "uncomfortable" and kick the responsible staff out of the building because they made careless staff "uncomfortable."

I have worked with both Stanford Moats and Fonda Sundeen in helping families find the right care. They are welcoming, knowledgeable and truly care about the families they serve. If you are looking for yourself or a loved one, Stanford and Fonda are the ones to call!

I cannot say enough great things about the care Mom has received since arriving at The Legacy at North Augusta. To the staff that helped with the initial planning and evaluations, the concierge, dining staff, and all staff assisting with all phases of care for each and every resident, we appreciate you all! Communication with everyone is effortless regarding appointments, short term dietary changes, and her everyday wellbeing. Mom is social with the residents and staff. Her smile is priceless. She always has positive things to say about her meals, and states, 'I sure did have a good (breakfast, lunch or supper) today'. She enjoys the activities she takes part in. She loves her 'Place', as she calls it. She still gets to watch deer like she did at her home. If you are looking for a place fo

My mom loved her apartment that allowed her to have her familiar belongings around her. The staff here are all so kind and showered her with love and attention. The facility is attractive with nice outdoor space that residents can enjoy, including some raised bed gardens they can help tend. The activities are numerous and my mom really enjoyed all of them--crafts, movies, exercise classes, bingo, etc. During COVID, they did an excellent job protecting the residents, and no outbreaks occurred. And if you are accepted, they have a policy that you will not be kicked out for financial reasons; you're care will be covered by their benevolent fund. What a blessing!
