The Whitcomb Senior Living Tower

My 91 year old mother lives at Whitcomb, since 2022. My sister and I love this place and so does my mom. It is a historic beautiful building, right by Lake Blvd. Residents can enjoy walking the blvd where there are art fairs, farmer's market etc. The Whitcomb provides a lot of entertainment too...they offer fun field trips to outlying areas..nature centers, restaurants etc. I even sat in on a harpsichord event. I learned about electric harpsichords!! The staff and residents are all delightful. I know this review sounds over the top, but that is how I feel about the Whitcomb 🙂

I want to share how grateful I am for the care my loved one receives at the Whitcomb. The staff seems genuinely committed to improvement. I see ongoing effort to make things better, respond to feedback, and ensure a safe, comfortable environment. Teri is always friendly, compassionate, and truly caring — she treats residents with dignity and kindness and listens, making them feel valued every day. Overall, this has been a positive experience — I appreciate the caring atmosphere and thoughtful attention to residents’ needs.

The Whitcomb is a wonderful place for seniors to spend their golden years. Staff members are attentive to each individual's needs and activities are scheduled on a daily basis. Delicious meals are served in the spacious dining room overlooking the St. Joseph River and Lake Michigan. Located near Lake Boulevard, The Whitcomb is near the numerous events offered in beautiful downtown St. Joseph. Your family member, like mine, will likely say, "I should have moved here years ago!'

The Whitcomb continues to bring such joy to my 97 yr old mother! Heather, the Director of Activities is Amazing! Tonight, the residents are enjoying a Super Bowl party with snacks, drinks and a huge screen TV. The entire staff is kind and Always puts the residents first. My mother has made so many friends and she continues to thrive. She loves Bingo, Movie night and every Friday a Social Party with food, music, and drinks. There is never a dull moment at The Whitcomb! My mother enjoys the options of so many activities… this was a good decision for her to be around so much life and not home alone.Thank you Jay and Nav (owners) for having a Team that truly cares for your residents! Best decision we made for my mother!

The Whitcomb is a charming historic building in beautiful downtown St. Joseph, Mi with views of the Lake. My brother stayed here and Nav and all the staff were so nice to him and professional despite his challenges. We appreciated the care he got here.
