The Willows Retirement Community

I’m writing this review today to highly recommend the Willows Retirement Community in Westborough. My mother moved to a Willows Independent Living apartment in 2010 with the intention of spending her sunset years with the comfort of knowing that everything she needed would be readily available and accessible within the retirement community, including meals, entertainment, a salon, small store, and most importantly, a social community of interesting peers. Little did she know that nearly fifteen years later, she would still be part of the community, living in the Suites assisted living neighborhood. We moved our dad to the Willows in Westborough last week and we couldn't be happier with our decision. Our main point of contact has been George Barrette (Director of Sales), and I can't say enough about how great he has been from the first visit through the end of the move. The staff and the residents are extremely friendly and accommodating to our needs. Our dad has made so many new friends and keeps raving about how great the food is. His apartment and the entire facility are beautiful and well maintained. We had looked at a few other places and there were many reasons for us choosing the Willows, but I think what made up my mind was everyone that lives there just seemed happy!

Went to visit friend and had a great day. And took me on a tour and we had a delicious dinner in dining room.

My Dad lived at the Willows for four years. It allowed my Dad to come and go, met new people and enjoy all the different events offered. It gave my sister and I a piece of mind that even though he lived independently the staff kept an eye on him to make sure he was safe. If you need additional help they have different options to help you with your aging parents. We used salmon home health to come to his apartment to assist him and when we needed hospice they offer that and they were awesome. I've been a Willows at Westborough resident for 6 months. I considered and visited 7 senior communities in the area. Willows was number one. I'm a big believer in organizational culture. Culture will determine effectiveness. When visiting potential communities, I focused on one specific culture indicator. I looked at staff and resident interactions and, if they were friendly and respectful, the rest would follow. And it all worked. Staff and residents really like each other. Everyone smiles and greets each other. Respect flows both ways. Oh yes, the building is well maintained and the food's good. Willows has met or exceeded my expectations.
