Thrift Auto Repair

Does anyone know why Thrift mechanic shop closed? They were the best auto mechanic shop in Liberty County. They were trustworthy and they stand behind their work. That’s rare nowadays! If anyone knows why they closed leave a comment.

Absolutely amazing! My car was diagnosed within an hour of them having it, and was repaired within 3 hours of being there. The price was extremely affordable. I would definitely use again if needed, and would recommend to anyone in Hinesville.

Had an issue with my 1995 convertible. The speedometer was not functioning correctly and the check engine light came on momentarily. They ran their diagnostics and I was told the speedometer head was bad and the oxygen sensor triggered the check engine light. I then told them to go ahead and replace the oxygen sensor, do an oil and filter change, and I would provide a replacement speedometer head from a junk car that I own. Next thing I know, they're telling me I have a wiring harness issue and they wanted to know if I wanted to proceed. I said NO just put it back together. I know wiring issues can get very expensive real fast! Bill came to over $450!! I complained that I shouldn't have been charged $73.06 for diagnostics fees since they completed repairs. Quality mechanics. Took my truck to twice to one repair shop and once to a different shop. My complaint to the managers was my truck was difficult to start, and was losing coolant. One shop replaced the spark plugs and cleaned the out the throttle body. The other shop replaced the fuel filter and conducted a pressure check. Both said the truck was good. Problem continued. Took it to thrift auto. They found and fixed the problem first time. Thanks John for a job well done.
