There are very few local, family owned, garages left. This is a third (or fourth) generation business. The service is honest, quick, and completely reliable. They're great guys.

I had been a customer of Tompkins Garage for well over 10 years. I would often bring both of my vehicles there for service. One being an Antique 1979 VW Volkswagen Bug (Kharman Built). To keep this short and to the point I would like to focus on the trust that one develops within any relationship and usually it is based in honesty. Well this appears NOT to have been case with TOMPKINS GARAGE when last November I had my BUG towed to them for a major repair to the engine due to a MAJOR OIL LEAK that depleted the car of all oil being present in the car when it was started up - (This was the result of another service station's inadequacy). The bumper on my BMW 135 was bumped, leaving a scar on the cover from a bolt on the license plate from the car that bumped me. Tompkins refinished the bumper, and it came out really well. There is no overspray, and it is essentially as good as new. As a bonus, they detailed the car, and it looks great. I will be using them again the next time I need auto body services. I will also recommend them.
