Walmart Auto Care Center

Went to Walmart to get my tires replaced. I had an easy time putting my spare on with a hammer and wrench given the fact that I have Ford lug nuts that are aluminum on steel that tends to wear out over time. All they did was tell me they couldn’t replace them until I put new lug nuts on the car. Went to O’Reilys the next day to get new lugs just to find out they bored them out with their equipment to the point where I couldn’t take them off. Went to discount tire and they did an amazing job replacing not only the tires but the lugs I bought from O’Reilys. I told the Walmart technician to put this tires in my trunk but he somehow failed to communicate that to his incompetent coworkers and had to haul them myself to my car.

I’ve used them more than once. There’s been little things. Went to another place to get my oil changed, they suggested that the people who changed my oil last didn’t change the filter. I knew I’d driven more than the recommended miles so I just took note, dismissed it. This time when they changed my oil, tire pressure was still reading low after thru claimed to have tested it and it was fine. Washer fluid was empty when they said they filled it. When i pointed this out it was just an “oh well”. That’s the last time I use them.

Making an appointment here means nothing. They put walk-ins ahead of you and there’s absolutely no apology or anything to compensate your time. I had an appointment today at 1 o’clock. Took almost 2 hours, making me late for another scheduled appointment. Online says to schedule approximately an hour for a 4-tire install. The people that work at the desk were absolutely no help and not apologetic at all for the inconvenience. Reading the other reviews here, says it all.

Dropped my car off at 530pm for a 600pm appointment and the auto service staff said it would take 1.5 h to complete but they will call and text when it is finished. I received a text at 727pm and call from Walmart at 730pm and the associate told me " if your not here in 10min we will keep the car overnight" I asked to speak to a manager and was on hold with my phone the entire drive over. I used my girlfriend's phone to simultaneously call the store to try and reach a manager while she drove me to get my car and the operator never picked up so I tried the electronic department and no one picked up either. 2 phones on hold for 15min each and no one ever picked up the phone. Tire installation. Service way too slow. Long past estimated completion time and still counting. No one’s even touching my car right now. Don’t overbook appointments without staffing accordingly. Reasonable price though!
