Avis Car Rental

Google maps had wrong location. It is located within the main airport building - not a small separate building across the street. Hours also slightly different. Included exterior pictures of the building, posted hours on the entryway glass, the night drop box, interior pictures of the Avis/Budget desk and the general building interior. It is a time capsule. Hasn't been updated in easily 20 years. It isn't in terrible condition just very dated. Easy access to location. Airport is not busy. You can rent cars or Budget box trucks from there. Plenty of free easy access parking for your personal car and to pickup / drop-off the rental. The cars / trucks are all parked in front of the main airport entrance in an open parking lot. Paid in full through at 3rd party Holiday Autos. Then was charged the full hire over again by Avis. Rang Avis customer services said the full hire was due as they had not been paid by holidays autos. Holiday Autos investigation concluded I had agreed to extra charges at the desk which I did not, so its not down to them. I feel violated!

Avis is a joke, had car towed a week ago and woke up to see my account negative 1097.00. There was something wrong with brakes a car I had for almost a year for uber, was unsafe to drive and the car was returned on the 23 of Jan. Tow guy sent me confirmation that the car made it and there was no damage to it besides faulty brake system. They over charged my account 748.27 and then billing stated that it should have never taken out my account, now I have to wait for dispute and or Avis to refund my money. Do not rent from any Avis if your doing uber they will screw you in the end.

I wish there was a capability to give no stars and still post. My life's safety was put at risk when I was first given a vehicle that had immediate maintenance needed to be done, faulty/shaking breaks, power steering warning lights alert on dashboard, oil change and no windshield washer fluid. After letting the agent know I don't feel safe to travel and ask for another vehicle, to be met with "this is all I got".... But to then be put in a replacement vehicle that was in an accident previous to my paid reservation and no fault to me with the markings still on the vehicle and not cleaned. How would anyone, who is suppose to be a valued customer, want to ever recommend to a friend or colleague after having such a rental experience like this.

If I could give zero stars I would. Having rented from AVIS many times prior, both personally and business, this is the last time I will use this rental car option and I will no longer recommend it's uses for work travel. First time charged for full gas tank fill up despite returning the car full. I rented a vehicle to simply travel to Bradley Airport. For such a short trip I rented the most cost effective, fuel efficient option. The car was overfilled at pickup and still full after such a short trip that topping off for less than $5 was a courtesy. At check in the attendant scanned everything in and took a quick look saying we were good to go. The car was returned full and AVIS still charged my card for a full fill up Customer service has been atrocious and they refuse to rectify the o
