Beetle Bug III

I'll always prefer to give the small local businessman a chance before taking the car to a dealer so I gave Beetle Bug a shot. I found what my problem was online by doing research on forums and told the mechanic what I thought was wrong. The first day I dropped it off, he "diagnosed" the problem and charged me $75.00. When he told me that he wasn't sure he could fix the problem, I figured I had no choice but take it to the dealer. The next morning the mechanic called and said he had contacted the dealer and actually could fix the problem. As I said before, I prefer to send my business to a local guy so I told him to order the part and give me a call when it comes in. $225. later I thought my problem was fixed. After a couple of days the same warning light turned on on my dashboard.

I really dont know what the previous reviewer was talking about. Maybe he prefers a sterile waiting room with vending machines and latte’ drinks. I myself prefer extremely competent, reasonable and knowledgeable mechanics who can fix anything and fix it right the first time. My vehicle never ran so well even when it was new. I love my Karmann Ghia and these guys do too. They treated my baby like it was their own and when I got it back, I had STICKER SHOCK at how inexpensive the total was for ALL OF THE WORK they did. If you own a German car there really is nowhere better to go Than BEETLE BUG III. WORTH THE DRIVE FROM ANYWHERE.. They make you feel at home...and that is a GOOD THING.

I wish I could give this place 0 stars THIS GUY IS A SCAM--DO NOT GIVE HIM ANY BUSINESS EVER!!!! I purchased a car from this shop towards the end of June for $3500, it's now the beginning December and I have already put $1000 into the car, with A LOT more work that needs to be done. The owner told he would fix the car COMPLETELY before giving it to me and it turns out that he just "mickey moused" the car so it would get through the Lemon Law time frame. I imagined getting a car from a shop that specializes in Volkswagen's, who's company name literally has the word BEETLE in it, that they would know what they were doing and I would get a good, solid car that would last me at least one year before I needed to service it, not 2 months! This place is great; these guys really know what they're doing. If you own a VW, this is where you should be taking your car for service.

Great place..they know what there're doing...wouldn't go anywhere else for VW... LOVE the fact it's family owned..... only gets better every year...; )
