BMW of Westbrook Parts

We’re thankful for Westbrook service department, notably Taylor Powell for his excellent COMM, and service manager, Mike Profenno. Daughter at school in Portland and her 210,000 mile X3 had a start issue so I directed my daughter to tow it to BMW for its ability to diagnose. To make a long story short, this vehicle had corrosion issues, in areas where no one would think to look, but this service department went to ends of the Earth, including online to German engineers to get to the bottom of this issue, and they did. It wasn’t computer modules, it was corroded electrical grounds, and fuse box. Needless to say, the labor charge piled up, and I expressed my anxiety to the service manager. He personally called me in CT to deliver good news about it not requiring expensive computer modules. T

Environment is nice with comfortable seating, water, coffee and snacks. That being said they( service department) could do a much better job communicating. I was in for a tire rotation only. Dropped car at 11:20 am. Had been told when I scheduled it , it was a 60 min or less appt so I didn’t need a loaner car. My service rep checked me in and I never heard from him again. I very nice service rep helped me when I asked at 1:00 if my car was done yet. She went right out and found my car and got an eta. At 1:20 I checked out alas without a car wash because I had a 1:30 patient. I’m not asking for the world but I am asking that if a basic service like a tire rotation is going to take almost two hours that the person who checked me in should be communicating that with me. My very first experience with BMW of Westbrook was flawless. From the friendly, welcoming staff to the tech enabled scheduling and communication that actually works I was totally impressed. Car was finished early and was clean and ready to go on a very messy Maine day. The shuttle service and two drivers I interacted with was a real highlight. Friendly and accommodating I am really appreciative of such great service.

Great team in the service department. Have been working with Garth for years and he always takes great care of us. Especially appreciate how proactive Garth and the team are.

The service was fine but the complimentary wash was pathetic. Water was sprayed but most of the winter dirt was left streaked on the car. Much more attention to detail is needed here. This is the fifth BMW I have purchased at BMW of Westbrook and not the level of service and care I have come to expect.
