Burdick Toyota Service

I used Burdick Toyota's Collision Center after I was involved in an accident that wasn't my fault. I used them because I work in North Syracuse and I figured it would just be easier to pick up my car being it was right up the road. What I was not happy to see, when I picked up the car, was the long crack in my windshield that goes from the bottom passenger side to the middle of the windshield. This is a hazard for more than one reason; I won't be able to pass NYS inspection, I could get pulled over and ticketed, and God forbid if anything hit my windshield or if I am unfortunate enough to be in another accident. Terrible and very unnecessary experience. I had to bring my car in for a simple NYS Inspection and to get a slow leak in one of my tires checked out. Most other places - this would take an hour tops. When I called, they said I had to drop my car off - I couldn't just wait, because they didn't know when service providers would be available. So I agreed but said I had to have my car done between 4 and 5 at the absolute latest, or I'd have to switch days. They said it'd be fine. When I dropped my car off, Chris said I could have waited, but then it was too late. I re-emphasized that they said it'd be done between 4 and 5. 4:45 comes around and I still hadn't heard anything, so I called and they didn't have any information on the car. Have been here four times in past year and always receive quick service, frequent updates, and fair pricing. I had to drop off my car for a battery replacement and they even had a shuttle to take me back home. I used to live in New York City and would routinely wait 5+ hours for service. At Burdick, I’m usually done in 1-2 hours.

This review is long overdue. The service department used to be good back in 2018-2020 but it took a nose dive after Shannon left and moved over to sales. All visits since have been horrible. It started going downhill in 2021, when I brought my 2018 Tacoma in for a pop noise when accelerating from a stop. I brought it in three times for this issue, the final time leaving the truck there for over a month. I had to continuously chase down Alyssa for updates on the truck. She said they flew in a Toyota specialist from Toyota USA to diagnose the issue when no technician could fix it which I find very hard to believe. The Toyota specialist apparently blamed it on the Zeibart undercoating causing the leaf springs to stick together, a service that they sold to me when I bought the truck. She said

Brought my car in for a headlight replacement and inspection, and the service team found a major issue I wasn’t even aware of. They were able to break down the problem in a manner I could understand and realize the severity of, they even showed me the parts that are failing. I primarily worked with Jonathan, but he and the rest of the team made me feel great that they went the extra mile in keeping me and my vehicle safe.
