Went in for a faulty ignition coil. Left with a $1400 repair on an exhaust manifold that started leaking exhaust into my cabin. I had to drive across the country for work and I started having a misfire. I didn't have time to take care of it myself, so I took it to a mechanic with supposedly good reviews. (I came to find out later that these were fabricated good reviews.) I knew that my car had ignition coils that go out frequently so that is what I was expecting it to be. After their "diagnosis" they called me and said that I needed a new exhaust manifold. They promised me it would fix the misfire. Well, after $1400 worth of labor, they called me back and said the misfire didn't go away, (shocker!) and that it was probably an ignition coil. And, to make matters worse, on my way back aft

After several years, I won’t be bringing any car back here. Compared to alternative mechanics, the labor expenses are ridiculous, last time I found myself spending $500 for electrical issues, several months later the same issue returns, while another mechanic shop completely fixed this issue and only charged $140. Overall, the quality of work and price do not justify bringing your business here.

I recently had my car serviced at the Charleston Auto Repair shop, and while the actual repair seemed fine, I was really put off by the way one of the mechanics spoke to the other staff. There was a lot of yelling and what seemed like unnecessary criticism. It created a really uncomfortable atmosphere in the waiting area, and honestly, it made me question the overall quality of the shop. A respectful workplace is important, and what I witnessed made me hesitant to recommend this place.

I had broken down on the side of I 26 not knowing what was going on with my car. I have car shield warranty so I had my car towed to Charleston Auto repair so that they could figure out what was wrong with my car. The next morning Before 9 AM they had already called me with my results as to what was wrong with my car. They told me the pricing which was very reasonable, but at the time I did not have the full funds. They were able to work with me. I paid half the day of and they were letting my car stay till the next week to pay the other half for pick up. That was truly amazing, and I was very grateful that they were able to work with me because of my financial situation. I most definitely will be back for any future repairs that I have and I would 100% recommend anyone to use them.

What an amazing team!! The kindest, knowledgeable people in the business. Call and set an appointment, you will not be disappointed.
