Concordia of Bridgeville

Edited from 2 stars to 4 on 6/11/2025.** After some initial concerns following the sale of Country Meadows to Concordia in 2024, we ended up being satisfied with the community after the initial adjustment period. Although the housekeeping was not at the level once maintained by Country Meadows, the caring of the staff remained unchanged. Many of the old staff were held over, and the new faces had the same dedication to providing loving care that the old staff did. They were loving and supportive even as her needs increased and her life drew to a close. At the end of the day, I would choose to place my aunt in the care of the staff there again - and that really is the most critical thing when you are looking for a long-term care facility.

I am very fortunate and grateful to have friends who could attest to positive experiences with their own family and who made my initial introduction to Country Meadows of South Hills. The staff and management are superb. Not only are they professional, efficient and personally dedicated to their cause, but I can honestly say that every single employee with whom I've interacted has also exhibited patience, compassion, and understanding when helping the residents and their family navigate the many challenges that come with this phase of life. My Mom has repeatedly commented on the staff's kindness and the quality, variety, and options at mealtime, and we both appreciate that the layout of her room gives her separate bedroom and living room areas with generous storage space. My mother who recently passed away spent her last few months in personal care at Country Meadows. I cannot say enough good things about the people who cared for my mother stage of her life. They consistently demonstrated kindness, patience, respect, grace and impeccable care. Every single person, no matter what their role, was kind and caring towards not only my mother but me, her family. I highly recommend Country Meadows to anybody who needs a safe place for their loved ones where they will be given the best care you would want for the one you love. I'm so grateful for all they did for her and me during her time there. 5 stars doesn't seem like enough.

The facility staff are great but management is not. They FORCED my aunt on their hospice without letting my family decide which people its YOUR CHOICE! She died miserably they refuse proper medication for her and gave her Lasix for secretions! In case you dont know secretions arent fluid! 🤦‍♀️ Them forcing to use their horrible hospice is ILLEGAL they didnt even give them the chance to interview hospices that is completely illegal….. most people dont know that so i wanted to be sure to know!

I do not understand the positive reviews I see for Country Meadows. I can only assume people who wrote the reviews have not been there at various hours and days to observe the lack of efficient processes and the gap in care that loved ones receive. If you visit on a sunny Sunday afternoon you can easily be misled by the scenery - family members on the patio, dogs visiting, Grandma in her wheel chair soaking up the sun. There are many other times that you will observe a very different setting. Most of the nurses, aides, activity coordinators, physical therapists are lovely people who exhibit a heart to care for the elderly. Sadly there are also those that are the complete opposite and despite multiple complaints the administration does absolutely nothing to address these gaps. In some cases
