Gilroy Automotive Repair

I recently purchased a classic car in Gilroy and was unfamiliar with the area. Following the good reviews, I had Gilroy Automotive do the pre-sale inspection and they were incredibly helpful and patient to me in the process. They were easy to talk to and explained the rationale for why some things were more immediate versus others and the inspection itself was easy and thorough, as is the online system to review estimates and approve/decline work. I live a bit out in Monterey, but have three cars and had been looking for a good, honest, and reasonably priced mechanic. I plan to use them as my regular moving forward.

Hired them to do a simple remove and replace and was willing to pay an outrageous $150 labor fee for a 15 minute job and $75 for a $20 part and they weren’t willing to make it right after they screwed up

Excellent work done on my 2000 Ford Ranger with the clutch replacement, oil change, and transmission service. Excellent communication and customer service.

I've had bad experiences before in the past with auto shops to where I felt uncomfortable going back. After meeting with Jeremy Sr. and Jr. (owners), I was incredibly relieved to have found them. They didn't make me feel as if I'm wasting their time with my repair requests. They actually took the time to listen to all my concerns and didn't try to rush me out the door. I even would show up unannounced whenever my car was showing concerning signs, and they repaired it right then and there with no charge! So if you're looking for a reliable auto shop that prides themselves on customer service, this is the shop for you! Trust me! I've been to many auto shops and Gilroy Automotive is the only place I've felt valued as a customer at! Thank you Jeremy Sr. and Jr.!

They are professional and are willing to work with customers closely to get the problems fixed. My car just had a series of nasty electrical issues. They patiently diagnosed the vehicle and communicated with me fairly well to solve the problems. So far it is the only shop I have been to that can really make progress fixing stuffs. Update: Although I appreciate their workmanship, it turns out that my cars's problem is originated from wrong fuel injectors installed by them. All problems and the waste of time and money is simply because of six wrong injectors. The mistake led me to a rabbit hole and replaced various fine genuine parts, which is impossible to get nowadays. I lost almost $3000 and almost destroyed the motor.
