Hertz Car Rental - Hebron - Cincinnati Northern Kentucky International Airport (CVG)

If I could give less than 1 star I would give negative stars. We had a March 5th rental at the Cincinnati airport. I called in advance to ensure someone would beat the facility since our flight was coming in late. They assured us they would be there. When we arrived they were not there, but all the other car rentals were there for their customers. If you are flying into the Cincinnati airport and want a reliable car rental company, DO NOT USE HERTZ. Instead Alamo/Enterprise/National/Avis are the companies that took care of all of the Hertz customers that night and ensured we had vehicles to travel to our final destinations. They showed up as promised and went above a lbs beyond for individuals who weren’t even their original customers.

Honestly I couldn't even leave the parking lot before writing this review. If I could give 0 stars I would!!! My family has always been loyal to Hertz as myself and my fiancé were pervious Hertz employees/ we ran our own franchise. They had the WORST customer service. They never acknowledged us. We had someone from thrifty have to tell us that the Hertz rep needed to help us when we were standing in front of him for a couple of minutes. Funny thing is he seen us there but didn't care to help us. It took us an hour to get our rental car. They were so lost and confused on what to do they sat on their walkie talkies trying a bunch of vehicle numbers. They left us to go whisper in the back for a period of time after a shop guy made the comment that there was a problem and we were literally the

Above and beyond customer service from Agent Shiela and her boss at CVG when I made an error on my pick-up date and they still put me in a very nice car. I am so very, very grateful for their kindness. I have no status with Hertz and they still went above anything I expected once I realized my error. The gentleman who met me when I returned the vehicle was terrific too. He answered every question and was so cheerful and positive. He asked how my rental experience was and seemed delighted when I said it was great. Thank you Hertz!

Saturday June 21, 2024 at 3:30 PM the truck engine started having issues with shifting and wouldn't allow us to move over 5mph. Call was placed to the roadside at 4:00 PM MST regarding the situation. Roadside informed us they couldn't get someone out for hours and gave us an option of having it towed ourselves and we could seek reimbursement from the originating location. So we paid for a tow truck to pick up. Truck was picked up and taken to Grand Junction Dodge and was dropped at 6:57 PM and keys left in overnight drop box.Called was placed to Ashley at the dealership Monday AM on June 23 and she stated the car was assigned to Dane Hammond. Left Dame a message regarding the truck on June 23, and 24, 2025 with no call back until today. After we spoke last night I thought things were fine.

Flight arrived less than 2 hours late 12/30 to CVG. Hertz closes at midnight, their policy state pickup still available up to 2 hours after closing in case of delayed flights. I arrived at the counter around 12:45 to find it closed and no agent available. I reached out via chat on their website because nobody answered the phone. Chat bot said the keys are in the car to go ahead and take it. The gates were closed and there was no way to exit the garage even with the car. I had to go all the way to the other side of the terminal to go wait alone in the middle of the night in 25 degree cold for a $50 Uber ride, putting me at my rural destination at 2:30 AM. While I was able to get a ride to Hertz 12/31 I was not able to get the car until about 1:30 PM. Not only did I lose 1/3 of my rental,
