Thrifty Car Rental - Cincinnati - Northern Kentucky International Airport

Will no longer rent from Thrifty due to their new policy regarding gas. If you decline the return offer of returning the vehicle & paying for the gas upfront, you must upon return of the vehicle fully gas up the vehicle & leave a valid receipt ( preference preferably on the dashboard) showing the purchase and amount of gas you placed in the vehicle. It doesn't matter that the gauge is showing a full tank, without that receipt being left in the vehicle you will charged $10 per gallon... and the charge is for a full tank, not what you used.

I rented a car from Cincinnati-CVG airport while visiting family for Christmas. During my stay, my daughter fell extremely ill. After visiting urgent care, she was diagnosed with infectious mononucleosis and a severe ear infection on 12/29. Because of this, she was unable to fly home on 12/30 as she was at a high risk for rupturing her ear drum from cabin pressure (she was also contagious). We needed to drive home to Sarasota-SRQ last minute. I called to extend my rental and it was $679. But if I were to book a new rental, it was only $100. I needed to get us back home ASAP because I had to work and pick up my dog, so we needed to leave CVG early for a 15 hour drive. My experience at the thrifty rental car at the CVG airport was absolutely horrible. The woman working at the counter, who happened to be a black chick, was extremely rude and had no customer service skills. She seemed extremely bothered by the fact that she had to assist me, and I could tell that she was not happy to be there. I'm not sure if she was having a bad day, but she definitely didn't need to take it out on customers. I had been traveling all day and was exhausted, and her attitude only made my experience worse.
