Hertz Car Rental - Maplewood - Springfield Avenue

The staff members are rude and arrogant. Very condescending and cold. Will never utilize this place again, I was given a dirty damaged car as well. When I complained about the dirty vehicle and gas tank not being full the worker shrugged his shoulders,

Would give Zero stars if I could. By far the absolute worst rental car, service and experience I've ever had with Hertz (or any other vendor for that matter). Returned the vehicle early because I couldn't deal with the odor. Dirty car, no gas, damaged vehicle, terrible odor - mix of trash, mildew and smoke, trash inside the car. Just awful.

This location is horrible! Reserved a car and when I went to pick it up the young lady asked if it was a personal or insurance rental then stated there were no cars available at that time and she would put me on the waiting list and call me later that day. ( Never did she look up anything on the computer but spoke to someone in the back). No call but last week I see a charge on my bank statement, called office and no one could answer what the charge was for! Called customer service only to be told that it was a no show fee! I explained to customer service what happened and they took care of it. Called Maplewood office back to see why I was charged a no show fee and no answers to my questions! Never use this Maplewood Branch of Hertz for anything! Hertz check your branches!

booked a reservation, they called me morning of and said they didn't have my car and i would need an upcharge to book a new car. very frustrating

I went here to rent a car last week. The associates were very unprofessional. I made a reservation in Florida before arriving to NJ. It did not come up so when I arrived to the location I went back online and rebooked the reservation. I have rented from Hertz for years and have always had good experiences. The guy tells me he doesn't have any rentals and no other Hertz in the area has any rentals. He then tells me that I should go rent from ENTERPRISE. I'm standing here with three kids and luggage and he tells me to go spend my money at another company because he doesn't want to do his job. I had just paid $30 getting to this location from the airport if I wanted to rent from another company I would have done it there.
