Karp Kia Service Department

I had a great experience working with Mitch at Karp Kia. I brought my Kia in with a no-crank, no-start issue while the car was still under warranty. I had already narrowed the problem down to a bad starter, which is covered by Kia’s warranty. I was upfront with Mitch that I was not looking to pay for any repairs if their diagnosis pointed to something not covered. Even though the dealer places a $200–$250 diagnostic hold, Mitch clearly explained that it would be released if the issue was confirmed as a warranty repair. After the car was towed in through Kia Roadside, their technician confirmed the starter was the problem. It was replaced at no cost, and the diagnostic hold was released as promised. Everything was handled honestly and professionally. I really appreciated the transparency

3 months ago I took my car in to get an oil change, that was done quickly, but they discovered that I had a broken passenger window. After that was fixed, when I drove home I found my passenger door lock was broken. It wasn't broken when I brought it in. Why didn't they tell me that they did that. They could've fixed it. I just did it myself. But I will never come back to this service department again.

Called for an appointment, spoke with Mitchell in the service department, he easily scheduled a service date allowing me to arrive within 48 hours. Service was performed as scheduled covering all required requests promptly & professionally. Pricing is not any greater than less qualified repair shops. I only required basic maintenance at my 50K miles mark. Honestly there’s no comparison between Kia dealership service and non dealership service. So much more qualified and professional. Lots more experience, training, resources and knowledge which is where the tire meets the road is how I see it.

This was my second experience at Karp Kia Service. My first experience was good. No haggling, no warrantee coverage issues took care of the problems. When I walked away from my second service appointment, I was shaking my head. My car was in for A warantee covered door molding repair, this was ok. It was also brought in to check brakes and heat which is not functioning properly. Please note it's a 2024 Vehicle with 15k miles. I was told nothing wrong with brakes and heat. Not good!! Then the sales advisor told me that I was due for front tires, and front or rear brakes and then tried to sell me on a $650 service.
