Metropolitan Garage

On a busy day for the Metropolitan Garage, they were able to see my husband and I’s vehicle and get us a quick diagnostic on a very serious car issue. We sought out a handful of other car auto shops including the Toyota dealership and no one was able to help us or even cared about our issue but this place. The Metropolitan Garage acknowledged the seriousness of the situation, didn’t want us driving in dangerous conditions, and insisted on helping us with a diagnostic right away. They were very friendly and welcoming and this is the only place me and my husband will go from now on for any future car issues or maintenance. They actually care about their customers.

Absolutely amazing shop! Great workers, great people. They are very efficient and get your car done fast. They even sent me a video of another issue my car was having, showing me the problem. They give you quotes if something else is wrong and give you the option to have them fix it on spot, or decline so you can do it another time. They have very fair pricing, much better than other shops in Fairbanks. I will never take my car to another shop. Metro is the way to go!! Super reliable! And very trustworthy! 10/10 would recommend!!

After the cold snap my vehicle refused to start. Spoke with the front desk and they were able to get my vehicle seen within the week. I’ve had work done at other shops around the state and honestly their process was the most seamless and very user friendly. My service advisor, Jason, had great communication and the tech, Justin, was very thorough during the inspection even mentioning future maintenance so I knew the exact the state of my vehicle before I picked it up. Great work!

We had a GREAT experience at Metropolitan with a pre-buy inspection. We live out of town and they were happy to coordinate with a (flaky!) dealership on the vehicle drop-off. The report we got was very comprehensive and easy to understand and included pictures and a rating scale. They were happy to answer questions when I called. We were so grateful that we had good information to go off of and not buy this vehicle.

I definitely recommend Metropolitan Garage. My parents started going here back when the shop was in Goldstream, and they always spoke highly of them. I left Fairbanks before owning a car of my own, but I recently moved back and bought a car. I knew I would take it to Metro; it's comforting knowing I can trust that everyone is going to be honest and do good work. Everyone I have interacted with has been really kind and helpful. Also, my car is a Toyota hybrid, so I feel even more at ease knowing that Metro is a certified hybrid shop.
