Payless Car Rental

Sucks! Two days rental, two times dead, every morning when we were going to drive , it was dead, out of battery power. Call you, always automatically machine, no real respond and help. In Mount Rainer Zone, I have to call car repair store myself, charged me 329. First day made me waste half day, second day made me 2hours delay of return. Sucks! The repair shop man plug out the location device and said that was probably the reason caused battery leakage, which I am not sure. by the way, the first pick up car is a no work engine car, luckily I was still in rental parking area and had chance to changed it, but I really can’t imagine the second one is still the same problem one! Try to email you, but no email address in official website. have to write here, hope you can see. Don’t let others

I was hesitant to book with Payless after reading so many bad reviews online, but I decided to take a chance because they offered the lowest price. Thankfully, it worked out! When we arrived at the rental center, we saw long lines at other companies, but only a short wait at Payless. There were just a few customers ahead of us, and we were helped within 15 minutes. To our surprise, we were upgraded from a compact to a brand-new Jeep at no extra charge. The car was clean, the staff were friendly, and the payment process was transparent, at lease we weren’t hit with any surprise charges after returning the car. Overall, we had a smooth and positive experience with Payless, and I’m glad we gave them a chance!

After booking directly through Payless and arriving from the Midwest to Seattle, they stated they could not accept my debit card which I had used for the booking. Not only was the staffer up front rude, but once I asked to speak to a manager so hopefully they could update their disclaimers moving forward for future customers, he mentioned to have a seat so he could call someone to me and to “make yourself comfortable”. Once the manager showed up, she reiterated the same thing and said good luck. While another customer was in line for a return she stated she had to pay $150 in an insurance up charge although she had already brought proof of insurance and purchased one just for the car rental itself through booking. etch a sketch-0/10.

You really gotta watch them and check your receipt at the beginning and fees and return your car on time! They triple charged me for being two hours after...but still early in the morning. Plus, they added insurance onto it for another $34 a day and they never told me the price and I'm pretty sure it got sneaked into there. When I called customer service about the second charge....they hung up on me when I told them they should charge me for two hours or an additional day not all three. The car was nice and was a brand new 2025 electric.

I booked through amex and didn't have any issues. Everything, including the fees, were explained to me thoroughly on site, and the vehicle didn't have any issues. No hidden fees whatsoever. I was provided a receipt with the breakdown of the fees as well before I took the car. Would've given them 5 stars if not for the toll pass convenience fee being slightly expensive. Aside from that, everything went great. The male employee at the counter was helpful as well when I picked up my car.
