Pep Boys Auto Service & Tires

I got a flat tire on Saturday and realized Sunday morning. I usually go to discount tire but sundays they are closed so the Pep Boys was the nearest to me. A called ahead of time to get a time slot which was only 1 hour from me calling. I was told over the phone it would take 20 - 30 minutes to fix the repair from my appointment time. I get there and drop off my car and the gentleman told me it will be just over an hour. That was fine, went and grabbed food. Came back after 1.5 hours and they said it was in the shop being looked at, which it wasn’t, it was still in the car park. The gentleman said “oh don’t worry it will be soon”. I then stuck around for another 1.5 hours until they took it in. The guy looked at it and returned the keys to the front desk saying it wasn’t fixable because of

Awesome experience! Went in for a wheel alignment and a vehicle inspection and was told that it will take one hour. Came back in one hour and my car was ready. These guys are very punctual. Thinh was my service manager and he was very kind and professional. I will definitely come back to Pep Boys.

First, when I tried to book an appointment online to have my car aligned (using my lifetime alignment), I was called and informed the time wouldn't work due to being understaffed. I then showed up the next day at the newly scheduled time to be told that they were again, understaffed and aligning my car would take at least 2 hours. Later, I got a phone call and was told my car could not be aligned because my control arms needed to be replaced. This is possible, and I said I would be back after I see my mechanic. Then I was told my lifetime alignment would not apply if any suspension work is done to the car. Word for word what was told to me was "If we do an alignment and it becomes undone; we will cover that". So it seems, they want to charge to do an alignment, after purchasing a lifetim

I took my car to Pep Boys Encinitas. The price thar I paid was lower than others providers within the zone. The waiting time was within schedule, and the works performed as today are ok. The only thing that I don't like about this location is the cleaning ... it seems that the waiting room as well as the rest of the location haven't been cleaned in a long time... you can find dust and some trash almost everywhere. I don't have an issue with it but I know that my mother or my wife or any other lady would leave the place with no hesitation at all. I know Pep Boys for a long time and is sad that they might be loosing customers for this matter.
