Dropped my truck off yesterday and got it back today. From just me explaining what the problem was they were able to diagnosis it to being a common problem and replaced the problem part with one 3x stronger. All this for under $800. I was afraid I would need to spend 10x that for a new transmission.

Took my 99 Dakota in to have the transmission repaired. They were honest and thorough, and kept me in the loop the entire time. Even though it went from a potential repair to a new case and then to a full rebuild, I am very pleased with their service and communication. Very fair on their pricing, and even pointed out a couple other issues they suggested I look into. More than happy to keep my business local.

Dave and his techs (especially Clarence) did an excellent job on rebuilding my transmission and repairing some serious oil leaks on my old Yukon. They got me a great deal on the oil leak repair, and were patient and courteous explaining things when I had any questions. You can definitely tell Dave really cares about making sure each customer is taken care of right. It's hard to beat a quality, long-time family business, and Shepherd is a great example.

My son needed troubleshooting on his transmission while at college. Being over 900 miles away in NJ, I was worried not knowing any business in the area. Shepard's performed A+ work at a truly reasonably price. Great communication with technician. I would highly recommend to anyone! Thank you!

I called Shepherd based off of a recommendation from a friend. I am glad that I did. I did price shop still and found their prices to be inline with a reputable establishment that offers a warranty. Having a transmission rebuilt is a big ticket item to get done, and I wanted someone I felt is honest and trustworthy, I found that at Shepherd Transmission. The work was quality and price was fair I will use them if I ever have transmission needs again.
