Solstice Senior Living at Groton

When my mom needed a place, I gave her several options, she chose Solstice Senior Living at Groton because of its welcoming homey atmosphere. She couldn’t have made a better choice. The facility is beautifully designed, having had a makeover not too long ago, clean and spacious with many common areas. The staff are engaged with the residents and willing to help with their specific needs. There are many activities, events and field trips keeping everyone entertained and involved. Their menu is varied and plentiful. House cleaning, three meals a day, laundry rooms add to the amenities. In addition there is an on site company called Love You Like Sister, if you should need to hire extra help. This place has been great for mom and for me as well. Thank you Solatice! You’re terrific!

I am writing this review on behalf of my Aunt who has been a resident at Solstice for several years. The facility is clean and the common areas are well appointed. The apartments are very nice with adequate closet space. The programming is varied and there is something for everyone. All staff members are polite and meet the needs of the residents. I recommend Solstice Senior Living in Groton for anyone looking for a senior community for themselves, a relative or friend.

Speaking strictly from the viewpoint of a tour and not a resident, this place appears impressive. The units are small and have basic level amenities. However the rent includes nearly every possible need (food, housekeeping, rides to appointments) and there are several additional very large rooms for resident use for various activities. It is exceedingly clean. IMHO the prices are fair.

I want to share my positive experience with Solstice Senior Living Groton. Until recently my mother was a resident at Solstice. Unfortunately, it became necessary to move her to a skilled nursing facility and I was deeply saddened that she had to leave such a wonderful Senior Living community. The staff at Solstice Groton are some of the kindest, most caring individuals I’ve ever met. Although this is an independent living facility, the employees truly care about their residents safety and wellbeing. The environment is warm, cheerful, homey and clean. Every time I walked through the building I witnessed housekeeping vigilantly cleaning the common areas. I cannot say enough about this senior living location! Transitioning a loved one into a care facility can be stressful and hard, but solstice made the process amazing. All of the staff, but especially Faron, were SO kind and so helpful throughout the entire process. They made something that seemed daunting enjoyable, and created the perfect environment for my grandmother to be able to thrive! We highly recommend this location to anyone who is looking for care in the area.
